在隧道頂部測試防火板的指標(biāo)是其耐火性。考慮到隧道的安全性，所選隧道的防火裝飾板必須是質(zhì)量好板。無機預(yù)涂板用于制造防火板基材。該板具有不錯的防火性能，硅酸鈣板的熔點可達到A1級不燃性，并且其抗裂性再次提高了很多效果。作為隧道防火板，該材料必須屬于無機預(yù)涂板作為主要材料。

防火板材料實際上分為兩種，一種是無機防火板材料，另一種是有機防火板材料。有機材料具有更好的隔熱性能，價格相對便宜，但其耐火性并不理想，其燃燒性能甚至無法達到B2防火等級。二是無機材料(如巖棉板和泡沫玻璃)的耐火性可達到A1級。
